On March 10 to 11, 2017, BFI facilitated training on Human Resource Development for the leaders of 12 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) from the provinces of Davao del Norte, and Compostela Valley, and the city of Davao.
A total of 62 participants participated in the training, which was held at the Provincial Cooperative Union (PCU) Training Center in Tagum City. Topics of the training include Team Building, Organizational Management System, Leadership Skills, and Values Formation and Second Liners Skills development. A special Session on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) was also discussed, with a Resource Speaker from the Dept. of Science and Technology (DOST), since most of the participants are into processing of agri-products such as cacao, banana and coconut.
Of the 62 participants, about 14 are young members of the various organizations, as an effort to develop young generation of the cooperatve movement.
The training is part of the deliverables of BFI for its Agrarian Reform Community Connectivity for Economic Services and Sustainabilty (ARCCESS) Program, under the Dept.of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
